Professional Background
David McRae joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2006 as a principal in the Nashville, Tennessee office. As a pioneering member of the Nashville office, Mr. McRae helps ensure the growth and success of Newmark Knight Frank in the Tennessee market. Mr. McRae has been responsible for the leasing and marketing of over 4.5 million square feet of office and industrial space in Tennessee with lease values over $200,000,000.
Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank, Mr. McRae was a director of leasing for Crescent Resources, LLC, a subsidiary of Duke Energy, where his duties included all areas of marketing to tenants, brokers, site selection consultants and economic development agencies. Mr. McRae has been recognized by various trade organizations, including the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and the Nashville Business Journal as a “Heavy Hitter” in commercial real estate.
Mr. McRae’s notable deals include Nissan North America’s headquarters relocation to Nashville, Clarcor, Inc.’s relocation from Rockford, Illinois, and several other major headquarters/relocation projects. His clients have included Walgreens/Take Care Health, Medical Reimbursements of America, 20/20 Research, ROCIC, BH1, InterMetro, Emerson, Horne CPA, Salem Communications, Direct General, SSOE, America’s Power Sports, Adams & Reese, Symbion Healthcare & FCG Consulting, CITI, NFIB and Comcast.
Professional and Community Affiliations
Mr. McRae served as vice president, chairman of the economic and community development committee and founding director for the Greater Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce. He serves on the Board of Directors for NAIOP Nashville.
