Professional Background
Cheri Thomas joined Newmark Knight Frank’s Nashville office in 2008 and specializes in income-producing investment properties. She represents both buyers and sellers, and works with individual investors, developers, funds and REITS. Ms. Thomas is also experienced with tax-deferred exchanges, sale-leasebacks and conventional transactions. She has extensive experience in healthcare real estate, including MOB’s, treatment and diagnostic facilities, ALF’s and other medical real estate.
She is a member of the CCIM Institute faculty, where she teaches Investment Analysis and Market and Feasibility Analysis.
Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank, Ms. Thomas spent 10 years in investment brokerage at NAI Nashville, and previously was a senior vice president of Arthur Consulting Group, specializing in valuation of tangible and intangible assets, including large and unique commercial real estate properties. In that capacity she was also a qualified expert in valuation for the Internal Revenue Service.
Ms. Thomas has been on the graduate faculties at the Harvard Business School and the School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as numerous executive education programs. She is highly skilled in analyzing property performance and modeling performance under alternative scenarios.
In addition, she has consulted for numerous private businesses on issues such as strategy and marketing and was previously a Senior Vice President of Mathematica, Inc., an economic and public policy consulting firm.
Ms. Thomas’ is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).

Ms. Thomas's industry affiliations have included First Regional Vice President of CCIM Region 6, and Past President of the Middle TN Chapter of CCIM.
Education
Ms. Thomas is a graduate of Harvard Business School where she earned her Masters of Business Administration and her Doctorate of Business Administration, both with Distinction.
